Christmas fun

So I meant to write on Friday and of course, never got around to it. I always get caught up in life. But Luke and Lillian had a Christmas party on Friday and went to school in their Christmas pj's. They were so cute. Luke had a little party and I, trying to be a great mom spent way too much money making little candy/toy bags for his home room class. We took a pic before they left. Luke is going through this 'I will not acknowledge the camera' phase and so every picture we have he is squirming, trying to get away. Except, occasionally he will participate and ham it up while screaming "cheeeesssee". So cute. (btw, all my pics will just be at the end of the post cause I'm on the iPad and cant figure out how to correct this)
I had to work on saturday so I started my Christmas vacation on sunday. Usually we are in Fayetteville the weekend before Christmas but this year we went up early since the hubs had to do some work there. It was so great to just relax and hang out with the kids. We did our Christmas, Christmas eve morning. I made us breakfast and we sat around and watched the kids open up their gifts(really only one can open, the other just eats the wrapping paper). Their big gift was a table with chairs. Luke didn't leave it all morning! He loves it! Even Lillian loved sitting there with her brother. They were so adorable. Then we just got Luke some Hot rod cars which, I am still having trouble believing he is old enough for Hot Rods! And Lillian some small stuff but not sure what there called.
That evening we went to Shane's grandpa's house for dinner. There was about 25 people there and everyone brought a dish. I made a 'Better than sex cake'. If you have never had this cake, look it up. It is so delicious!
After his grandpa's we headed to his momma's house. Which is where we've been since. We had a great morning of watching the kids open their (waytoomany) gifts before we had lunch. Actually, Luke opened everything. Including the adults gifts. And Lil sat in the middle of it watching (and eating, again). Shane's mom actually has lunch catered and it is soooo nice. It's all the typical southern food you have at Christmas. Honestly, I think I might suggest this for my family at thanksgiving next year. I love to cook but by the time you make food for 25 people and clean it up, your just exhausted.
So, anyway, we stayed at his momma's house that night and it ended up snowing almost 10 inches! That is a shit ton of snow for us! Last year we didn't even see a snowflake! Electricity is out in more than half the homes in central Arkansas including ours so we will just be staying here with the in-laws till it comes back on. If she doesn't kick us out first! Hahaha. No, seriously. Couple more days and she just might! So I leave you with some pics and I'll let you guess which days there from. Haha. Later, chicas!

Christmas story

Ok, so I'm redoing this for like the hundredth time. I am so not good at this. Ughhh. And if it turns out crazy please don't make fun of me. So I'm linking up with Darci, who has no clue who I am. Hi Darci!
So the first pic is this year. My child is seriously scared of Santa. The second(sorry, I cannot figure out how to post these without them showing up at the end of the page) was last year. I had a very happy baby til we sat him on santa's lap. So classic.

So I have a sick baby.....

Who has thrown up on me twice in two day. Now, she isn't viral sick. She is RSV/ear inf sick. And the RSV is mild. Thankfully. So, are you asking why she threw up on me then? Why, because baby girl is just like her mama was as a child and can't take medicine. Not even liquid. Now, occasionally she does ok but this is not get first round of antibiotics and I have been thrown up on before.. Her brother is a pro and takes it like we're giving him candy so I guess I should've expected the EXACT opposite of him, you know? Ughh...anywhoo. Just ready for her to be better. After a few nights of no sleep I THINK we're getting back to normal. Now here's hoping brother(yes, we're the berenstein bears around here. Brother and sister.)doesn't get it.
Also, I know I said I'd update after thanksgiving but really....does it matter at this point? We're almost Christmas. Just know I ate to much, gained way to much and got up way to early to shop. But it was good times with the fam as usual. And here's a pic of the babies from thanksgiving. Please know my toddler put the hats on both of them. We were just fortunate to get a pic.....

Wow, it's really thanksgiving.

So, I'm writing this as we drive to Fayetteville. I love blogger mobile. Honestly, blogger still really confuses me and blogger mobile is simple so I love it. Plus I'm on the go a lot so it's about the only way I have time.
But I just wanted to recap on my fab weekend. My bro in law got engaged a couple weeks ago so my hubs had a little party for him and his fiancé. We had such a great time! We rented a party room at one of the local restaurant/bars here. We 'celebrated' til bout one in the morning. I didn't get any pics of the couple but I did get a sweet one of me and my hubby who have been happily married for 7 1/2 years! And I got one whole day off before I returned to work to make my clients beautiful for the holidays. Sighhh....but it's worth it to have five wonderful days off in a row. Now, if you'll please excuse me I got to mentally prepare myself for all the cooking (and eating) I have to do. :) Toodles y'all! I write later with how much weight I gain!

Lots of randomness!!

So I know I said I would get back with y'all on how my doc appointment went and how much fun the wedding was but life got stressful again. Wednesday after we got back my mom had a stroke so that has involved many trips to Fayetteville. She's doing much better so think this will be my last trip up till thanksgiving.
But the craziness out of this situation is I've lost about three lbs. I know your probably wondering why that's crazy so I'll fill you in. I'm a major (like, MAJOR) stress eater. Food makes me happy. Very. I've had chocolate cake, pecan pie, mashed potatoes and gravy, BREAD. Ughh. And the only exercise I've had has been walking to and from my car to my mom's room. So that's why it's crazy. Want to hear another crazy. The way I found out. So I'm sitting here in the room with mom and apparently the bed WEIGHS you! Ha! So the nurse comes in and weighs my mom and goes 178.5. So of course, I'm like, what! Then she just comes over and presses the button and goes your ONE less lb than your mama. Now this lady does not know how fighting hard I've been trying to get baby weight off the last four months so I resisted the urge to turn around and kick her. So I wait till she leaves and take the COMPUTER(really lady :p) off the bed and my shoes and it went down to 171. So as relieved as I was I was still disappointed. So thinking about it, I took the pillows off the bed. Ha! Those suckers weighed almost four lbs! Down to 167. Swweeet! So happy to be back in the 160's! After I my brother got here to sit with mom I went for a walk around the hospital. Beautiful!! Look at these pics.....love! Wish I had this to walk everyday! Anyway folks that's it for now! Another doctor appointment

I feel like all I've done for the last two years is wait in a doctors office. Ughh. And here I am again. Getting my thyroid checked AGAIN. But I really needed to do this. I Just haven't felt like myself for awhile. It's been hard to get any doctor to listen to me though. When I say I have two babies sixteen months apart they automatically want to blame that. I have felt a little more normal since being put on antidepressants but still not quite like myself. Hoping I can get some answers.
I did really well exercisingg this week! Six days in a row! Dropped another lb but was really hoping to be under 170 by this weekend. Guess with mother nature doing her thing I shouldn't have had such high expectations. We're heading to my hometown this evening for a friends wedding. Hoping I can get in a run but ratherly ever happens at my parents house. Something about being there makes me want to cuddle under a blanket and let my momma cook me food. Hehe. Yes, she spoils us while we're there. I'll update later with wedding pics/details and hopefully some good results!

Crazy week(s)

Oh my goodness. Life has been a whirlwind. But what else is to be expected when you have two babies. But this last week was very trying. It started with Luke catching a fever virus and two days later Lillian came down with it.  There was very little sleep in this house last week.  Thankfully, I have a wonderful mother-in-law and she kept her Saturday night (and actually Friday night,but we stayed with her) so we could catch up on sleep.  They are finally feeling better. It's so nice to see those little smiles and hear their giggles again!

So excersing has been so hard this last week. It's always hard but little sleep makes it hard to get your butt on the treadmill. But I'm happy to say I'm down about 7-8 lbs since last month. Still got about 25 to go but just gonna continue to try and run as much as possible. Gotta go hardcore for the next two weeks cause we have family pics coming up. So excited to get some done with Lil included! Anyway, lots of grilled chicken and veggies and gonna try my body by vi shakes again for breakfast and lunch. Hopefully I can see some good results by October, 28! Wish me luck!

I'm Back!

Sorry bout the dissappearance! There has been so much going on in our lives. We sold our home, moved in with the in-laws, had a baby, and moved into a new house. See, I told you! But things are so great right now. Lillian Kay has been an a great blessing to our lives. Big brother Luke really loves her even if he has a tough time showing it sometimes. I'm so excited for her to be a liitle bigger so they can play together. She is really starting to pay attention to him right now though and laughs the cutest laugh when he's playing with her or torturing her in my opinion but She doesn't seem to mind to much so I guess it's not to torturouse but still....
 Loving our new home also! It's twice the size of our old home with hard woods and tile in the main living areas. So happy to be rid of most of the carpet. With two dogs it is WAY to hard to keep clean. We moved out of the 'city' but are close to some great friends and we have everything we need with in ten minutes so I dont mind it too much. Just working 4 days right now so the drive to and from work isn't too bad. It's worth to have everything we want in a home. Anyway to wanted to update on our 'new' lives. Gonna try to write more often. So until next time.....

Well life has been a little hectic here lately. My sweet Luke got sick again on Sunday and it's been a rough few days since. We've taken him to the doctor twice and oringinally they diagnosed him with strep throat but the antibiotics weren't helping so I think even they're a little confused. So they switched his antibiotic today and put him on a steriod so hopefully by morning we'll see some results. Please, please, please let's see some results. It's the hardest thing in the world watching your child be ill knowing YOU can't do anything but wait and see.  For two weeks he was doing great and eating well and just being a fun 13 month old and it was so great. Since he started daycare it seems like those weeks are so few that I really love them now when he has them. I am so tired of daycare. Wish I could find a nice old lady who's retired to watch my babies for me. Guess I'll just have to keep an ear open.

  On another note I did want to mention my great, even though small, savings at the grocery store this past weekend. This was supposed to be my oringinal post but after sunday night I'm still catching up on sleep. My goal is to start watching ads and using coupons to try to save us some money on groceries. I only saved us about $10 but....it was nice cause three items were FREE! One being the paper towels. Sweet! I love saving money. $10 a week=a box of diapers at the end of the month. But I can do better I know I can, so I will. I watched Extreme Couponing this week to get some tips and joined a couponing blog. Soon  I'll be a true couponer! So till next time.....

So I knew the day was coming........

the day where your trying to get out the door for an appointment and the baby ruins his outfit and yours also. So up the stairs we go to have two wardrobe changes. For me it was actually just a shirt but for him the whole thing. Milk vomit stinks. Really bad. Finally out the door we go.

 First appointment of the day, thankfully is a massage. It was wonderful and definetly relieved some of the morning stress. But unfortunately, the second appointment brought more stress. Luke's 12 month checkup, which by the way we were a month late for. Little man checked out ok for the most part but apparently his finicky eating habits are starting to show. No weight gain since 9 month checkup. Not sure if this is just cause he's such an active child or going to be on the smaller side or actual lack of nutrition but as precaution we are switching from whole milk to pedisure. Whick happens to be EXPENSIVE! Ten bucks for six-eight oz cans and she wants him to have three a day. Wow. So hopefully we can get him eating soon. So more stress to my day. But I am thankful that other than that he had a clean bill of health. Gave him three shots and he never even cried. Then she took a blood sample and he just watched the entire time. Such a trooper. After that we made a stop to grab some pedisure and home we went to play till bedtime. And that is how we ended our day. So till next time.....

Finally!

So I finally got this  blog setup! YAY!! Been wanting to do this for soooo long but with my little man it's not so easy. If he sees a computer out his eyes get as big as quarters. It's really almost worth doing just for the look on his face. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE that little guy. Anywhoo, life isn't exactly exciting right now for us being that I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant with our little girl but it sure is fun. And thanks to a wonderful client of mine I'm going to get a prenatal massage tomorrow! WHOHOOO! So looking forward to that. But  then the day ends on a sad note as I have to take Luke to get his 12 month checkup and shots. BOO. Hopefully he does well and has no fever from the shots. Please say a prayer!
